Citizens EverValue is Bank On Certified!
For meeting National Account Standards, Citizens EverValue Checking is certified as a low-cost, low-fee account by Bank On.
Get paid up to 2 days early when you have direct deposit.1 No need to sign up and it’s absolutely free. This new feature gives you earlier access to your cash, helps avoid the stress of overdrafts and provides a head start on paying bills.
It’s being added to all Citizens personal checking, savings and money market accounts.
Our Citizens EverValue Checking is specifically designed to prevent overdrafts! Citizens EverValue accounts do not come with standard overdraft coverage. What does that mean? If you don’t have sufficient available funds in your checking account to cover a transaction, it will be declined and, in the case of checks, bill payments and ACH transactions, the item will be returned unpaid.
There may be a time when your account could have a negative balance. This could happen if a purchase you make is approved for one amount, but the final charge is more than your available balance. If a transaction results in a negative balance on your account, we will not charge you an Overdraft Fee.
As an additional option, Citizens EverValue checking customers can set up an Overdraft Plan from a savings account or line of credit to help cover transactions for when they don’t have sufficient available funds. Both plans are available with no fee on Citizens EverValue Checking accounts. Credit approval is required and finance charges do apply for Overdraft Line of Credit.
Ultimately, knowing how much money is available in your account is critical to avoiding any overdraft situation. Citizens gives you tools that make it easy, such as Online and Mobile Banking, and account alerts.
